“LXGF was an out-right motivational and empowering event! The ability to meet equally passionate Latinx developers from around the world and from different facets of the industry is what will push the core of the game industry forward as well as the careers “

“In all my life I have never experienced seeing so many faces embracing our culture in games and it made me hopeful for the future of the games industry. Seeing the support and representation for Latinx culture meant everything to me.”

ABOUT LATINX GAMES FESTIVAL

Latinx Games Festival is the definitive video game industry event for Latinx game development, and provides the Latinx game development community a platform for global opportunities.

Highlighting Latinx industry professionals on panels and Q&A’s on our livestream will show the world that we’re already here, and what skills and tools are needed to exist and thrive in this industry. Showcasing an Arcade of Latinx produced games curated locally and around the world will lead to a richer, more mature video game industry and one that positively impacts the future of Latinx game development. We aim to cover a range of topics not only important to Latinx game developers, but the video game industry as a whole.

Join us in beautiful Long Beach, California on November 21-22, 2020 at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) for 2 days of talks, games and art at the 2nd annual Latinx Games Festival!

JASON VEGA

Jason Vega is a New York City born and raised entrepreneur currently residing in Long Beach, California. I’m passionate around building strategies to cultivate healthy, reciprocal relationships focused on amplifying underrepresented diverse voices and fostering an inclusive environment in video games, entertainment, and STEM.

My love for accessible game development started in 2013, gaining industry event experience in event production, logistics, marketing, pr, curation, and brand ambassadorship for events like IndieCade, IndieCade East, Games For Change, and Different Games Conference. I was inspired to take that experience forward and co-organized the Game Devs of Color Expo in 2017 & 2018. I’m beyond proud to have MOLAA return as our venue host for the 2nd annual Latinx Games Festival, November 21-22, 2020 in beautiful Long Beach, California!

BE A PART OF LATINX GAMES FESTIVAL

Latinx Games Festival’s goal is to assist in repairing a leaky pipeline within the video game industry, to learn from and connect with Latinx game development professionals and industry veterans, to uplift and promote Latinx game developers, while nurturing the next generation of Latinx game developers for years to come. Join us in making an impact, together we can make the 2nd annual Latinx Games Festival a huge success!
